This article covers a subject from a Star Wars: Visions story that Lucasfilm declared is set in an alternate history within a reimagined galaxy.

River frogs were a type of frog that sang at night and were found on the Outer Rim Territories planet Genbara. While the former Sith known as the Ronin was traveling through the city Osou on Genbara after sunset, he expected to be left alone because it was dark enough for river frogs to sing. However, the storyteller known as the Traveler tracked him down, which troubled the Ronin.[1]

Behind the scenes

River frogs were mentioned in the 2021 non-canon novel Ronin: A Visions Novel, written by Emma Mieko Candon.[1] In the real world, a river frog is a species of frog found in the southeastern United States.[2]
