Riss was a male Human Captain of the Galactic Republic living during the Galactic War with the resurgent Sith Empire. In 3642 BBY he was posted on Taris, where he was wounded trying to protect a group of refugess from a bounty hunter. He offered to give the Hunter the information he was after in exchange for letting the civilians go free, before succumbing to his wounds.[1]
