During the New Republic reign, the Inner Rim world of Riosa had its own planetary security force. Prior to embarking on his career as a New Republic senator, Ransolm Casterfo served in Riosa's planetary security force for two years. As a member of the force, he flew a starfighter and operated a blaster. The Riosa planetary security force saw little military action with most personnel like Casterfo spending most of their time issuing citations for violating docking procedures.[1]
