Ril Shiwer was a scholar who authored After Order 66: The Empire's War on the Jedi Order, which questioned why the Galactic Empire devoted so much resource to the eradication of the remaining Jedi in the Great Jedi Purge following the enactment of Order 66[1] in 19 BBY,[2] despite the fact that it was facing other more pressing military matters in its early years.[1] In 35 ABY,[3] the historian Beaumont Kin cited Shiwer's work in[1] his[4] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.[1]
