Richard Van der Wende was an illustrator for the 1993 book Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas. Among other notable work, Wende did production design for Disney's Aladdin (1992) and was the co-lead designer and director of Cyan World's 1997 computer game Riven: The Sequel to Myst.
