Publisher's summary
This junior novelization retells the story of the film with eight pages of colour stills from the film.[1]
Continuity
- Although released to commemorate the Special Edition trilogy, the illustrations and story only depict the original 1983 version of the film. An example is the original beak-less sarlacc.
- An illustration shows R2-D2 looking into Yoda's hut in the rain during Yoda's death. The illustrated scene was taken from the film The Empire Strikes Back, during the scene when Luke had dinner at Yoda's. In the film Return of the Jedi, Artoo was fixing Luke's X-wing during Yoda's death, and it was not raining.
- Anakin Skywalker's last words are "You already have, Luke."
- According to one illustration, when Leia admits to Han Solo that Luke is her brother, she hugs Han on the walkway in the Ewok village. In the film, the illustrated scene occurred earlier, after Luke departs Endor.
