The resonance projector was a superweapon that fired resonance torpedoes, plasma warheads that could destabilize a star's core.

Description

The resonance projector was a weapon that fired resonance torpedoes. The torpedoes were activated by passing through the resonance energizer, and were then fired out of the projector. When fired at a star, a supernova explosion would be triggered, destroying everything in its path. The resonance projector was the only superweapon capable of destroying an entire star system and killing trillions of sentients at one time.[1]

During the development of the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station, a weapon known as the Resonance Torpedo Launcher was a proposed weapons system for the battle station.[2]

The resonance projector was the primary weapon aboard the Sun Crusher. The projector fired the projectiles that destroyed both the Cauldron Nebula, and destabilized the Carida's star, destroying the system.[1]
