In c. 2 BBY, a resistance was occured when a Mandalorian mercenary, Chop'aa Notimo and his Mandalorians assaulted Cloud City and engaged in battle against the Bespin Wing Guard, led by the cyborg Lobot, Cloud City's computer liaison officer.

This resistance was short-lived, as later Chop'aa was killed by the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader's former secret Sith apprentice, Galen Marek, when he was involved to finding the corellian senator Garm Bel Iblis, in case to founding the rebellion against the Galactic Empire.
