Repulsor guns were short-ranged weapons consisting of a repulsor engine with a charge capacitor and a simple trigger mechanism added on. The weapon could also be mounted on a tripod. They were usually built by bored technicians in order to amuse themselves during periods of lean business and were most often used to simply knock over empty caf containers. They could also be used in combat packed enough of a punch to knock opponents prone. During the Galactic Civil War, a repulsor gun cost 200 credits.[1]

Repulsor guns were first mentioned in the 2016 Star Wars Roleplaying supplement Special Modifications, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games.[1]
