The Republic Seal of Service was an award that came in the form of a small statuette or medallion and was granted to those who had proven themselves exemplars of the Galactic Republic's ideals and paragons of duty in various fields of service. In the field of combat, members of the Republic Military could be awarded the Star of Coruscant medal. The Order of Chandrila medal was awarded to diplomats, and the Kimble Award was presented to distinguished lifesaving physicians.[1]
In addition to the conveyance of status and prestige, each award was fitted with a special transponder that identified the award and its bearer, as well as their achievements. The transponder's signals included common Republic database verification codes which made a presented award instantly recognizable as proof of identity.[1]

The Republic Seal of Service was mentioned in Rise of the Separatists, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.[1]
