- "That's our time. Daro, Rena, I want to see your opening stance before you leave."
- ―Lakshay
Rena was a Force-sensitive human who was a member of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era.[1] In 132 BBY,[2] they and six other[1] Padawans[3] attended a lightsaber combat class[1] on a training verandah[4] in the Jedi Temple on[1] the planet[5] Coruscant. Rena and the other students followed a routine using bokken sabers as the class's instructor, Jedi Master Lakshay, moved among them giving advice. A chime sounded just as the routine drew to a close and Lakshay announced the session was over.[1]
Rena bowed to Lakshay alongside the other students and the Master bowed back before asking Rena and fellow Padawan Daro to show[1] him[3] their opening stance before they left. During the class, Rena wore a set of white and gold Jedi temple robes with a brown belt and brown boots. The Padawan's belt was trimmed with a green sash[1] that was the same color as their lightsaber.[6]
Behind the scenes
Rena appeared in "Day,"[1] the fourth episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired June 18, 2024, on Disney+.[7] It is unclear which of the six human Padawans pictured in the class is intended to be Rena.[1] The scenes in the Jedi Temple were shot at Shinfield Studios,[8] England.[9] Prior to the release of the episode, Rena was revealed in a trailer exclusively shown at Celebration Europe[10] during the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase on April 7, 2023.[11]
