- "You don't decide my worth. But I earned everything I have, this thing included. I took it from the one who held my name before me. An old name. A name of power."
- ―"Ren" revealing to Darth Vader that he took his lightsaber from his predecessor
"Ren" was[2] a Force-sensitive individual who served as the leader of[1] the Knights of Ren[2]—a group of dark-side practitioners.[3] He[1] wielded a red-bladed lightsaber[2] known as the Ren.[4] By 3 ABY,[5] some individuals believed that a human individual had killed Ren when he[1] took the Knight's lightsaber, as well as taking Ren's name as his own.[2]
When the Knights led by Ren's successor undertook a heist on the castle of[2] the Dark Lord of the Sith[1] Darth Vader on[2] the Outer Rim[3] planet Mustafar[2] between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[6] the human "Ren" dueled Darth Vader wielding the Ren. Seeing the Knight wield a red lightsaber, the Sith deemed Ren unworthy of wielding such a weapon, which the Knight refused and told Vader he did not determine his worth. Ren then informed the Sith he had earned all he had, including the lightsaber which he had taken from his predecessor.[2]
