Rel was a human male who joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic after the destruction of Alderaan. He was the childhood best friend of Max who later joined the Galactic Empire. The two would later meet again during a battle on the moon Shard where they put aside their differences and celebrated Winter's Heart together.[1]
