Reflections II: Expanding the Galaxy was the second reflective-style set made by Decipher (the first one being Reflections: A Collector's Bounty) for its Star Wars Customizable Card Game. It was released in January 2001.
Gameplay
Reflections II included previously released cards, now in a foil version with other cards from previous sets, as a way to help Decipher reduce its enormous surplus of cards. It was the first reflective-style set to include new cards.
This set contains a total of 105 Foil cards, which are 4 Ultra Rare, 62 Super Rare, and 34 Very Rare. In addition there were five Premium Foil Cards (Boba Fett with Blaster Rifle, Darth Vader (Japanese), Han with Heavy Blaster Pistol, Leia with Blaster Rifle, Obi-Wan with Lightsaber).
Reflections II was also known as "Expanding the Galaxy" as it included 54 New Premium cards based on the Expanded Universe, and was the first to introduce such cards. Some of these included:
- Corran Horn
- Talon Karrde
- Mirax Terrik Horn
- Grand Admiral Thrawn
- Kir Kanos
- Dash Rendar
- Outrider
- Leebo
- Prince Xizor
- Guri
The objectives introduced in the set were, for Dark Side: Black Sun, depicting the great criminal enterprise, and for Light Side: Watch Your Step, which dealt with smugglers.
Reflections II was the first set to introduce combo cards, which were two previous cards combined to make one card. Some of these included:
- Out of Commission / Transmission Terminated
- Dark Maneuvers / Tallon Roll
- Owen and Beru Lars
- C-3PO and R2-D2
