An underground Rebel Base was built on the moon Yavin 4 during the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, this small camp was used by a troop of Rebel soldiers led by Major Osto Elrad.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] a group of Imperial agents under direct orders of Darth Vader attacked the camp and killed Major Elrad.[1]

The Rebel Base was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] The Rebel Base was added to the game with the revamped "Imperial Theme Park," released with the "Chapter 6.12" update, on September 13, 2007.[4]
