Rax was an individual who was sentenced to prison on[1] the planet[2] Alderaan,[1] sometime between 10 BBY and the Destruction of Alderaan in 0 BBY.[3] Two pilots—Wookiee Chewbacca and human Han Solo—collected Rax as cargo from Alderaan on the seventeenth day of the High Noon Mission, with the intent to deliver him to[1] the planet[2] Coruscant. Though Rax introduced himself to the pilots, the Wookiee did not believe his name was actually "Rax." The individual felt the quarters on[1] the Millennium Falcon,[2] the pilots' cargo ship, were not luxurious enough, which Solo found funny. Rax's complaints annoyed Chewbacca, who requested the former prisoner to cease the complaining, but Rax did not understand Shyriiwook and nearly fainted in fear. Chewbacca logged[1] his[2] interactions with Rax into a mission log for the High Noon Mission.[1]

Behind the scenes

Rax was mentioned in "Chewbacca: A Wookiee Story," a short story published in Volume 19, Number 5 of the Australian magazine K-Zone,[1] which released April 16, 2018.[4]
