During the waning years of the Galactic Republic, a cousin of the Human Ranulph Tarkin assumed control of the company Quintad Orbital Manufacturing after Tarkin departed from his post as an executive at QOM in 57 BBY, to become the Governor-General of the Seswenna sector.
