The Ranger transceiver was a model of subspace transceiver manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems.
Description
The Ranger transceiver was produced by Sienar Fleet Systems for use aboard the Galactic Empire's Imperial-class Star Destroyers. The unit had a range of one hundred light-years, and was capable of monitoring over three hundred subspace frequencies. The Ranger monitored the subspace spectrum, altering frequencies every tenth of a second. Any messages intercepted by the transceiver could be decoded by the encryption computer built into the vessel's com-scan system.[1]
