Biography
- "Hey, thanks for the critical delivery. These blasters need to be recharged—they're all in this crate here."
- ―Rainn Poras, to Chase Wilsorr
During the Galactic Civil War, Rainn Poras served in the Rebel Alliance. He was stationed on the ice planet Hoth at the Alliance's Echo Base[1] in 3 ABY,[2] having a striped bedspread in the barracks. One day around 0400 in the morning, Poras was sleeping at the base's barracks, when the kitchen worker Chase Wilsorr spoke to himself a few bunks down. Poras told the "kitchen boy" to be quiet and hurry himself over to his job. The next day, Poras was at Echo Station 5-4 when Wilsorr delivered a crate to the station. Poras sarcastically thanked the kitchen worker for the delivery, which he jokingly called critical. He then told Wilsorr to take a create of blasters which needed recharging, for which the kitchen worker complied.[1]
Rainn Poras evacuated Hoth aboard the Bright Hope
However, the day after, the Galactic Empire found and attacked Echo Base. As part of the Alliance's evacuation plan, Poras boarded the GR-75 medium transport Bright Hope, the final rebel transport to leave Hoth. Wilsorr also came aboard after helping a number of stragglers make it to the ship. The passengers aboard the Bright Hope cheered as the kitchen worker arrived, and Poras congratulated the kitchen worker for helping other personnel.[1] The Bright Hope took off from Echo Base and fled Hoth, escorted by two T-65B X-wing starfighters.[3]
