In 12 BBY,^[3] shortly after the construction of Fortress Vader on Mustafar, a raid on the castle was conducted by Criakan and a contingent of Southern Mustafarians. They managed to break into the fortress and capture Vaneé, although they were all soon killed by Darth Vader. Some time later, Vaneé recounted the story to Rebel Alliance Commander Lina Graf, who was attempting to escape from the castle.^[1]
