Rafan was a man on the run from a vicious gang. He also owed Onar Koma a large sum of credits. In an effort to escape the gang and get Onar Koma his credits, he joined a rebel convoy transporting civilians to a hidden rebel world. The Empire ambushed the convoy, and the transport he was on managed to jump to hyperspace and escape the battle. Eventually, the hyperdrive gave out near the planet Tatooine, where the damaged ship crashed. Rafan, along with the other survivors, set up a camp where they stayed before being attacked by Captain Terro and his forces.[1]
Behind the scenes
Rafan first appeared in the Star Wars: Imperial Assault companion app Legends of the Alliance, in the "Jabba's Realm" campaign. Rafan has a chance of being one of the eight crash survivors present during the first mission, or guaranteed if the player chooses Onar Koma to be in the squad. Depending upon the actions and success of the player during the missions, Rafan's fate can vary. Rafan can end up being enslaved by Jabba the Hutt, eaten by a rancor, left behind at Terro's camp, or successfully have escaped Tatooine with the squad.[1]
