R8-X4 was a battle droid that was part of the security forces of the Jedi Colony established on Ossus. During the Invasion of Ossus, the Sith Empire forces have sabotaged Republic communications, causing many of their security droids to go haywire and attack both sides of the conflict. The droid was eventually destroyed during fighting.[1]
