The R-88 "Suppressor" riot rifle was a type of rifle manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc., and was the most-used riot weapon throughout the galaxy by law enforcement. A design that dated from before the Clone Wars, the R-88 was a bulky rifle that had two underslung cylinders used to store Brix-C stun fluid, a Merr-Sonn nerve agent that aerosolized as it traveled through atmosphere. The weapon fired a concentrated stream of Brix-C, which caused nausea, impaired vision, breathing difficulties, burning pains, and rendered individuals unconscious when ingested or inhaled.[1]

Masse Goskey kept at least one in stock at Masse Goskey's Arms Emporium and Explosives Mart with the cost listed as 2,000 credits.[2]
