A shrine was constructed on the planet Naboo in memory of[2] Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn after his death at the hands of the Sith Lord Darth Maul during the Battle of Naboo[3] in 32 BBY.[4] A decade later, the shrine remained a popular pilgrimage site. However, when Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker visited the shrine the morning before he was due to marry Senator Padmé Amidala, he found the shrine empty as it was not the right time of the year for memorials.[2]

Notes and references
- ↑ Queen's Hope establishes that the shrine was constructed in memory of Qui-Gon Jinn, who died during the Battle of Naboo, a decade before the novel's events. As Queen's Hope is set shortly after the beginning of the Clone Wars, dated to 22 BBY by Star Wars: Galactic Atlas, which also dates Jinn's death to 32 BBY, the shrine must have been constructed around that year.
