- «Why should I accept death for myself and my city merely because the Queen of the White has arisen?»
- ―The Queen of the Red
The Queen of the White was a title held by the one of the three Queens of the Quesoth, the rulers of the Quesoth species and their homeworld, the[1] Unknown Regions[2] planet Quethold. The Quesoth underwent a cycle whereby the Queen of the White would reign from Quethold's White City for a number of years until her death. She would then be replaced by the Queen of the Black and once the Queen of the Black died, the Queen of the Red would emerge. While the Queen of the Red ruled Quethold, the Circling of the White, a Quesoth caste of breeders and advisers, would breed a new Queen of the White to continue the cycle.[1]
In 8 ABY,[3] the reigning Queen of the Red allied herself with the alien warlord Nuso Esva, who would help her murder the Queen of the White to prevent her predecessor's fall from power. However, before the pair could enact their plan, they were killed during an attack on Quethold by the forces of the Empire of the Hand.[1]
