"Destroy as many helper droids as you can. And do not overlook the helper droid queen. I don't know what her purpose is, but it cannot bring anything but darkness and chaos to our lives. Destroy her as well."
Draykken Bender, to a spacer[2]

QU3-3N was a droid active during the Galactic Civil War. She was the queen of the helper droids, a unique variant of the R2-series astromech droid which would give people repetitive advice on their respective professions. QU3-3N was unique, in that unlike her minions, she was much larger in size. After the Battle of Yavin, QU3-3N was leading the production of helper droids from a droid factory on Corellia. In 1 ABY,[1] she was deemed a monstrosity which had to be destroyed at all costs by Draykken Bender, a leader of the Meatlumps, a group technology-hating Corellian terrorists.[2] Bender tasked a spacer with destroying QU3-3N. The spacer therefore fought the helper droids in the droid factory and finally destroyed QU3-3N.[2]

Behind the scenes

"[bloop... zonk] qu3-3n, qu3-3n, qu3-3n."
―The incessant droning of QU3-3N, as she fell under attack.[2]

QU3-3N was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts.[2] The game was shut down on December 15, 2011.[3] QU3-3N was added to the game with the "Game Update 10," released on June 2, 2009.[4]

  1. 1.0 1.1 The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
