Pulmonary resuscitation kits[2] were a type of medical device that could be used to treat injured humans. After General Leia Organa was briefly sucked into the vacuum of space during an attack on the fleet of the Resistance by the First Order[1] in the year 34 ABY,[3] she was treated onboard[1] the MC85 Star Cruiser Raddus with a pulmonary resuscitation kit. The kit consisted of two white-colored boxes with a breath mask attached. The left box had a knob on the front that could adjust the vital gas mixture ratio.[2]
Behind the scenes
Pulmonary resuscitation kits first appeared in the film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi,[1] which was released on December 15, 2017.[4] The prop was not named in the film,[1] but received identification in Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo[2] and released in conjunction with the film.[5]
