A cave located on the planet Corellia was used as the base of operation of the cave-dwellers during the Galactic Civil War.
History
- "Listen, they know that they are in trouble. A transmission just came from there threatening to kill their hostages. Do whatever you must to save them. I'll transfer all the information that I have to you."
- ―Commander Talte, to a spacer
By the time of the Battle of Yavin, the cave was inhabited by the cave-dwellers,[1] a Corellian group of anti-government criminals led by Raynod Menar.[2]

In 1 ABY,[3] psychotic cave-dwellers captured two groups of hikers in the Thaos Mountains.[1] Ilyamo and other hikers were kept as hostages in the cave.[4] Commander Talte of the Corellian Security Force therefore hired a spacer to investigate the disappearances of the hikers.[5] The spacer fought several cave-dwellers at the spot where the second group disappeared. From a communicator found on a body, the spacer managed to triangulate a signal to the cave.[1] The CorSec finally assaulted the cave and freed the hostages.[2]
Behind the scenes
The psychotic cave-dwellers' cave appeared in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[6] The cave was added to the game with the release of the "Publish 28," on April 26, 2006.[7]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
