A proximity fuse was a type of fuse that could be used in a stun grenade to detonate the grenade if someone came in close proximity to it.
In about 12 ABY, the rogue Jedi Dal Konur installed a number of defences in a hangar bay in the Bilbringi Shipyards and he placed some stun grenades equipped with proximity fuses inside two turbolifts located near to the hangar.
Jedi shadow bombs were also armed with proximity fuses, and the baradium-packed weapons were guided through space by telekinesis before exploding against their targets.
