Provincial Governor was an elected position in the Abregado-rae resort town of Le Yer. The post was held by N'Vaari until shortly before the Battle of Yavin, at which time, he was assassinated at the order of A'jidre Skrigatov. Skrigatov was then elected Provincial Governor, and five years later, sought to marry N'Vaari's granddaughter, Brinaloy, to shore up support ahead of the next election.
