The Promised Ones were the descendants of a group of Outcasts living in the Undercity of the planet Taris. They gave themselves this name after reaching the Promised Land and also after the rest of the planet's population was killed in the Sith Empire's bombardment of the planet. Eventually the group died off completely due to rakghouls, radiation sickness and starvation.[1]
The group had individuals who served as the keeper of memories, whose responsibility it was to keep a record of their experiences. Keepers for the Promised Ones included Rukil, Baral, Ku-ki and Lurr.[1]
