The Press Corps of the Galactic Republic was responsible for the propaganda efforts during the period of the Galactic War. Following the Eternal Empire conquest and the signing of the Zakuul–Republic treaty, Republic command took note of the success of the Morale Initiative by Havoc Squad member M1-4X and reassigned him to the Press Corps, where he could continue to increase morale of the Republic forces away from the front lines. During M1-4X's time in the Press Corps, recruitment and voluntary redeployments increased fourteen percent. In 3631 BBY the droid was persuaded by the Alliance Commander to leave his post and increase the morale directly by fighting against the Eternal Empire as part of the Anti-Zakuul Alliance.[1]
