Preed Krasnett was a lieutenant with the Galactic Empire stationed on the Outer Rim jungle planet Akiva during the Imperial Era.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] Krasnett had dispatched three stormtroopers, TK 23592, TK 12420, and TK 73412, to the Karaba Foothills region of Akiva with orders to investigate a cave used by the pirate Qorvino and his pirates. After performing a full scan of the area the troopers reported no significant life forms nor traces of Qorvino. Afterward the squad's findings were compiled into an Imperial field report numbered: W-2481-6; a copy of which was left on a datapad that remained at the cave[1] until at least 3 ABY.[2]

That year,[2] the thief Kay Vess read the report stored on the datapad at the cave while searching for Qorvino and his starmap.[1]
