Poyle was a Human who worked for the Alliance to Restore the Republic as a lieutenant[1] around 1 BBY.[2] When Cassian Jeron Andor and Ruescott Melshi left the Rebel base on Yavin 4 without permission to rescue Kleya Marki on Coruscant, Poyle briefed Davits Draven regarding Andor's unauthorized leave,[1] and again briefed Draven, along with Mon Mothma and Bail Prestor Organa, upon Andor's return to base.[3] For aiding in the unauthorized departure of Andor and Melshi from the base, Poyle confined Wilmon Paak to his quarters on Draven's orders.[1]

Poyle was portrayed by Terique Jarrett in the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor, first appearing in "Who Else Knows?" and "Jedha, Kyber, Erso," the eleventh and twelfth episodes of the show's second season,[1][3] both of which aired on May 14, 2025.[4] The character's name is not spoken in the episodes but is listed in the credits.[1][3]
