A power surge dampener was a weapon component. It was used in blasters such as the Defender sporting blaster pistol to protect the weapon's delicate actuating module. The E-Web heavy repeating blaster was also equipped with a power surge dampener, which worked in conjunction with a Power Flow Regulator.[1]
