Ilco Munica's rifle contained a power shunt.
A salvaged industrial power shunt was one of several parts used in the construction of a blaster rifle carried by the Abednedo Ilco Munica while he lived in the village of Tuanul on the planet Jakku around thirty years after the Battle of Endor.[1]
Behind the scenes
A power shunt first appeared as part of a prop in the film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, which was released in 2015. The part was not identified in the film, but was first named in Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo and released the same day as the film.
