An energy fence, energy screen, or power screen was a defensive security system. The fences projected walls of visible, deadly energy. An individual coming into contact with an energy fence was repulsed with a force equivalent to being struck by a bolt from a heavy repeating blaster. Energy fences had a variety of settings and power ratings, ranging from low-power fences to military grades models. Energy fences could be bypassed by sufficiently powerful individual field disruptors.[1]
