Pooches was a rancor owned by an unidentified Human female aligned with the Galactic Empire who lived in the capital building on a backwater planet. During the mission to steal a DSS-02 shield generator, Chewbacca and his partner were captured by this woman and imprisoned in the building's rancor pit.[2] However, Chewbacca managed to kill Pooches using an axe, much to the woman's ire. Shortly thereafter, Chewbacca and his partner were rescued by Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa.[1]
