"Pontriss" was the name the Chiss syndic Mitth'ras'safis, core name "Thrass," gave to a male individual who attempted to rob a bistro on the Chiss Ascendancy planet Naporar[1] by 19 BBY.[2] Pontriss' friend, Jaraki, feigned a heart attack to distract the bistro's employees, allowing Pontriss to attempt to steal from the bistro. However, Syndic Thrass and Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet officer Mitth'raw'nuruodo were also in the bistro, and together were able to prevent the crime.[1]

Behind the scenes

"Pontriss" appeared in the flashbacks of Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, a 2021 novel written by Timothy Zahn as the final volume of his Ascendancy Trilogy.[1]
