Pommel was an individual who served as governor during the reign of the Galactic Empire. After the freedom fighter Cham Syndulla's Free Ryloth Movement claimed responsibility for a reservoir explosion that destroyed an Imperial hovertrain near[1] the spaceport[2] Kala'uun on the planet Ryloth, Pommel was quoted in the TriNebulon News publication condemning Syndulla, who had led an insurgency against the Empire since its formation at the end of the Clone Wars. The governor claimed the freedom fighter and his cause had selfishly and illegally claimed dominion over Ryloth against the wishes of its people and called on him to surrender or be destroyed.[1]
