Polyfibre was a material that could be used to make netting. When the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and a group of his allies visited the junkshop of the Toydarian Watto in the city of Mos Espa on the planet Tatooine[1] in 32 BBY,[2] Watto had three sheets of polyfibre netting hung from the Toydarian clan bell above his nest in the top of the store. The netting was white with red patterning and helped to mantain an atmosphere similar to the muck lakes of the Toydarian's homeworld, Toydaria, within the nest.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, polyfibre was mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations. It was part of material reprinted[1] from the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, which was written by Kristin Lund, illustrated by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen, and marked the first mention of the material in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3]
