The Pius Dea Spaceport was a spaceport located on the galactic capital world of Coruscant during the Galactic Republic's reign. The spaceport possessed horizontal landing fields, was positioned near the Temple of the Jedi Order, and was to the far north of the large industrial area known as The Works.[1] The Pius Dea Spaceport shared its name with the Humanocentric religious cult known as the Pius Dea, who controlled the Galactic Republic from 11,987 BBY to around 10,966 BBY.[2] While in a speeder traveling into The Works on one occasion between 54 BBY and 52 BBY, Senator Palpatine was reminded of the Pius Dea Spaceport.[1]
