The Pipada Auditorium was a stadium on the[1] Outer Rim[2] planet Pipada. After the imprisonment of Sa'Kalla, a young and popular Drabatan singer who spoke out against the Galactic Empire[1] by 1 BBY,[3] a movement was formed in her name that spread across the world. When Imperial forces were in danger of being overwhelmed by the violence, the Imperial governor of Pipada brought Sa'Kalla to the Pipada Auditorium, facing half a million Drabatans.[1]
Convinced that they had broken the singer through torture, they ordered her to persuade the people to yield to the Empire. Instead, Sa'Kalla shouted for the Drabatans to continue their resistance and was immediately killed on stage. The stadium flared out in violence and the local Drabatans overwhelmed Imperial security forces, tearing them to shreds and briefly reclaiming their planet. Soon after, however, the Empire returned with reinforcements and imposed martial law throughout the world.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Pipada Auditorium was mentioned in Dawn of Rebellion, a 2018 roleplaying sourcebook published by Fantasy Flight Games for the Star Wars Roleplaying game.[1]

- ↑ Dawn of Rebellion states that Sa'Kalla's name was used as a battle cry after her death in the Pipada Auditorium. As her name is used as a battle cry in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story—which Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of to 1 BBY—she must have died by that date.
