The pincer maneuver, sometimes referred to as a pincer, was a naval tactic used to entrap a target starship between attacking warships. New Republic pilot Wedge Antilles battled against forces of Thrawn's confederation several times[1][2] in 9 ABY[3] when they utilized pincer maneuvers.[1]
