Piezoelectricity was electricity derived from mechanical stress. During his study of kyber crystals, scientist Galen Erso and his team tested the piezoelectric level of the crystals, measuring and attempting to raise the piezoelectric effect.^[1] Piezoelectric flame projectors also flanked Cardo's arm cannon.^[2]
