- "Here is the location of Phor Cl-lan. He's the so-called Water Treatment Tech. Maybe a 'Champion' can squeeze some fresh water out of him..."
- ―A disgruntled townsperson, to a spacer
Phor Cl-lan was a male Quarren technician who lived on Lok at the time of the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
- "I had to get away for a while from that broken-down piece of bantha... I mean, the Treatment Facility."
- ―Phor Cl-lan, to a spacer
After the Battle of Yavin, Phor Cl-lan worked for the pirate warlord Nym and the Lok Revenants as the water treatment technician of the city known as Nym's Stronghold.[1]
In 1 ABY,[3] the water treatment facility that supplied the city in drinkable water got broken and was unable to correctly filtrate the water, pumped in the sulfur rivers of Lok. Unfortunately, Phor Cl-lan missed the parts required to repair the filtration system.[1] As such, the water provided to the inhabitants of Nym's Stronghold was contaminated with sulfur, causing the population to revolt against Nym. The warlord therefore tasked a loyal spacer to deal with the situation.[2] The spacer accepted to help Phor Cl-lan who needed several chemicals and parts to fix the water treatment facility, namely cationic chemical coagulant, flow control valves and a motor power regulator.[1] The spacer first obtained cationic chemical coagulant from the smuggler Dak Vox[4] and used to resupply the mixing chamber of the filtration system.[5] The spacer then found flow control valves from a pressurized liquid storage unit nearby and used to repair the sedimentation tank.[6] Finally, the spacer acquired a motor power regulator from the quartermaster of the Lok Revenants Ralia Reeven and used it to fix the flocculation chamber.[7] Thanks to the efforts of the spacer, Phor Cl-lan was able to repair the treatment facility and provide clean water to the city and its inhabitants.[8]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
