"Domus Renking served, for a time, as the senator for Lothal but seemingly spent most of his time gathering additional wealth through a variety of corrupt deals with regional industry and trying to block the fortunes of political rivals like Governor Arihnda Pryce. His avarice and political machinations eventually came to an end when Governor Pryce was able to have him implicated in a bribery scandal."
―Beaumont Kin in The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire[1]

Personal records 59 was a file kept in the Post-Imperial Lothal Archives, in the section pertaining to Governor Arihnda Pryce who oversaw the Outer Rim planet Lothal during the reign of the Galactic Empire, prior to Lothal's liberation. The file detailed how Governor Pryce implicated Lothal's senator, Domus Renking, in a bribery scandal that ended a political career spent amassing personal wealth at the expense of his political rivals. Historian Beaumont Kin referenced the file in his history book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire,[1] in 35 ABY.[2]

Behind the scenes

Personal records 59 was first referenced in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, written by Chris Kempshall.[1]

  2. Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
