Personal assistant droids, also known as PADs[2] were a type of droid that saw use during the time of the Clone Wars. Designed to resemble ideal organic forms, they could be found in administrative centers. During the war, some feared that these droids could be utilized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems against the Galactic Republic, prompting the creation of propaganda posters such as Yosyro Modoll's Keep Our Republic Secure, which featured a personal assistant droid modeled as a shapely humanoid female with a large shadowy image of Separatist general Grievous' mask behind the droid, warning Republic citizens to regularly wipe their droid's memory.[1]
