Pere was an individual who served as a member of the Nihil pirates during the High Republic Era.[1] In 232 BBY,[2] Pere was part of a Storm led by the Quarren[1] female[3] Kara Xoo within the Tempest led by[1] the Weequay male Kassav Milliko,[4] and served aboard Xoo's ship, the Poisoned Barb. After the Quarren came up with an idea for how she could increase her Storm's forces after suffering multiple recent losses, Xoo contacted Pere by comlink and asked them how many schools were on the Outer Rim planet Dalna. After a burst of static, Pere noted there were maybe a hundred or so schools and asked why. In response, the Quarren stated the group had recruiting to do.[1]

Behind the scenes

Pere's voice appeared in the 2021 junior novel The High Republic: A Test of Courage, written by Justina Ireland and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[5]
