The Penumbra-class stealth freighter was a stealth freighter manufactured by the Brennkeyes Syndicate.[1]
Produced in a limited run, the Penumbra had a stealth coating that allowed it to slip by surveillance and sensors nearly undetected. However, the ship lacked strong shields, armor, or weapons, meaning its crew relied on stealth instead of power to transport their cargo. Additionally, the stealth coating was extremely fragile, requiring constant maintenance, as even the lightest amount of damage could compromise the system. This fragility also meant the ship could not be extensively modified. Despite these shortcomings, some owners of Penumbra-class ships claimed that they made repeated trips to restricted locations for years without being detected.[1]
